After three years of coaching in Guangxi, China, Chang Kim Wai has returned to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) with renewed knowledge and experience — ready to help elevate the national doubles players.
“Chinese players rely more on speed and power, while Malaysian players are generally more skilful on court,” said Kim Wai on his first day back at BAM.
He added that he plans to apply what he learned in China but will first take time to understand each player’s style and personality before making adjustments.
“I can’t just come in and correct them immediately — I need to understand their styles and character first,” he explained.
