Former national singles great Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei expressed his pride after three Malaysian pairs emerged as champions at the Indonesia Masters, praising their outstanding achievements.
The three title winners were 2025 world champions in mixed doubles Chen Tang Jie–Toh Ee Wei, women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan–M. Thinaah, and professional men’s doubles duo Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin Rumsani.
It marked the first time Malaysia captured three of the five titles on offer at a Super 500 tournament or above, a feat previously achieved only by powerhouses such as China, Japan, Korea and Indonesia.
In a post on his social media account, Chong Wei congratulated all three pairs and described their performances throughout the Indonesia Masters campaign as exceptional.
“Congratulations to Chen Tang Jie–Toh Ee Wei, Pearly Tan–M. Thinaah, and Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin Rumsani on your brilliant success at the Indonesia Masters 2026.
“Your performances were outstanding. Your skills, fighting spirit and resilience were clearly on display. Malaysia is extremely proud of you. Keep believing, keep fighting, and continue to fly the Jalur Gemilang high with pride.
“Well done. Excellent work. Malaysia boleh! Keep shining,” he said.
