The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has confirmed that former national men’s singles player Yeoh Kay Bin is being considered as one of the candidates to strengthen the national singles coaching structure.
BAM secretary-general Datuk Kenny Goh said proposals for the 2026 coaching lineup have been submitted, but any final decision will rest with BAM’s Performance Committee, chaired by national badminton legend Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei.
“There are several names under consideration for the coaching setup next year.
“Yeoh Kay Bin is one of the candidates, but the matter is still under review and must be discussed by the Performance Committee,” he said.
Yeoh Kay Bin previously served as coach to professional men’s singles player Lee Zii Jia.
