Former national coach Wong Tat Meng is on the road to recovery after a serious motorcycle accident in Sydney and is scheduled to be discharged from Westmead Rehabilitation Hospital on Nov 28.
The 58-year-old Roketto Academy coaching and programme director has made strong progress since the life-threatening crash in September. Roketto Academy announced that Tat Meng is now walking without assistance and continuing to respond well to rehabilitation, even sharing a video of him training on a magnetic exercycle.
The academy expressed gratitude to the medical team and the badminton community for their support. Although Tat Meng will continue rehabilitation twice a week and still requires a few surgeries, he is close to returning to his normal self.
