Former world star Tan Boon Heong believes that Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei is not only a legend on the court but also an influential figure capable of elevating Malaysian badminton to greater heights.
The appointment of Chong Wei as a member of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) council was announced by BAM president Tengku Zafrul.
Although his specific role has yet to be outlined, he is expected to contribute significantly through his vast experience and vision for Malaysian players.
Boon Heong expressed his confidence, stating: “Chong Wei should be given the opportunity to utilize his extensive knowledge to uplift Malaysian badminton.”
